As part of the implementation of the Erasmus+ CBHE project “Good Governance Practice: European Experience for Ukraine” (EG4HDCEEU4UI, No. 101237607, ERASMUS-EDU-2025-CBHE), coordinated by and with Dragomanov Ukrainian State University as the project grant holder, the “Good Governance in the Context of the European Dimension” course has been developed. The course will be introduced during the 2026/2027 academic year. Within the project, a common framework for the course has been developed, aimed at building knowledge and competencies in good governance among higher education students, based on European experience. The course covers the principles of good governance, European standards of public administration, transparency and accountability, anti-corruption mechanisms, digitalization, civic participation, crisis management, and good governance practices under martial law. In accordance with the common concept of the course, each Ukrainian university partner has developed its own syllabus and is preparing to deliver the course at its institution. The implementation of the course involves Dragomanov Ukrainian State University, Borys Grinchenko Kyiv Metropolitan University, Vasyl Stefanyk Carpathian National University, Nizhyn Mykola Gogol State University, Kryvyi Rih National University, and Berdyansk State Pedagogical University. The Institute of Political and Ethno National Studies named after I. F. Kuras of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine is also involved in the development and implementation of the educational component. An important part of the partners’ work has been the development of methodological materials for the course. Each partner institution contributes to the creation of the educational content. This approach makes it possible to bring together the academic experience of the Ukrainian partners and present different aspects of good governance within a common course. The course combines theoretical training with practical assignments, workshops, case studies, discussions, and students’ independent work. Thus, within the Erasmus+ project, European approaches to good governance are being integrated into the educational process of Ukrainian higher education institutions and are becoming part of students’ education and training.
