The “Good Governance in the Context of the European Dimension” Professional Development Programme Has Started
As part of the implementation of the Erasmus+ CBHE international project “Good Governance Practice: European Experience for Ukraine” (No. 101237607, ERASMUS-EDU-2025-CBHE-STRAND-1), coordinated by Dragomanov Ukrainian State University, the “Good Governance in the Context of the European Dimension” professional development programme has been launched. The programme is designed for civil servants, local government officials, and administrative and managerial staff of higher education institutions. The aim of the programme is to develop and strengthen professional competencies in the field of Good Governance, as well as to provide participants with an understanding of the conceptual foundations, principles, and practical tools of good governance in the context of Ukraine’s European integration process. Particular attention is paid to European standards of public administration, strengthening the institutional capacity of public authorities and higher education institutions, promoting civic participation, as well as effective governance under martial law and strategic planning for post-war recovery. The programme consists of seven thematic blocks covering the concept of Good Governance and the 12 Principles of the Council of Europe, EU legislation and SIGMA/OECD standards, transparency, accountability, integrity and anti-corruption mechanisms, strategic management of European integration, digitalization and cybersecurity, civic participation and digital democracy, as well as good governance practices under martial law, crisis management, and recovery. The training has a practice-oriented approach and includes interactive lectures, practical workshops, situational tasks and case studies, simulations of working group and advisory board meetings, thematic discussions, brainstorming sessions, as well as individual and group work by participants. Upon completion of the programme, participants are expected to deepen their professional knowledge of the Council of Europe and EU principles of good governance, develop skills in ensuring transparency and integrity, organizing civic participation, using e-democracy and e-governance tools, as well as crisis management and public policy evaluation.
